Valerie’s guest for this evening is Dr. Roberta Bondar, Canada’s first female Canadian astronaut in space and the world’s first neurologist. Now, an internationally-renowned nature photographer, Dr. Bondar conducts her ‘Space For Birds’ project advocating for the environment in partnerships with NASA , CSA, international parks, and bird refuge services.

Dr. Roberta Bondar’s passion for flight and nature continues to soar

Flood outlines Dr. Bondar’s lengthy research project Space For Birds. As it nears completion, Dr. Bondar continues to coordinate the tracking of seven unique avian species plus their pathways from the ground, the air, and from space.

Later this year, Dr. Bondar will present a photographic exhibition of her years’ long work at the Art Gallery of Algoma.
